We are

Project Flashlight

An initiative committed to shining light on mental illness among college students at Longwood and other universities around the country.

OUR MISSION

Mental illness among college students is a rising issue that is often not recognized. Project Flashlight is committed not only to shining light on this prevalent issue affecting today’s college students, but to also provide helpful resources to those who need it. It is important for people to understand that they are not alone so that they can improve and strengthen their mental health with support from others.

Meet the team

Behind this project are three dedicated students from Longwood University in Farmville, VA with a shared passion for mental health. Each team member has experienced a mental health disorder at some point in their life. With personal experiences and future professions in mind, these dedicated students hope to show their peers in the Longwood community that they are not alone in experiencing mental illness.
